Temptation What’s in Your Mind?

Webster’s dictionary defines the term Temptation as to try the strength of urge to test to try to persuade, induce, or entice, especially do something immoral, running a risk of provoking fate.
All these established meanings of the word would certainly seem to point clearly to the immense struggle the world can produce.
In the current phase of the world, with the widening sense of evil actions and worry and doubts, the devil has his converts prowling our spiritual realms to attack those whose strength and faith have lost their fire.
God‘s word warns us of this in the first Peter5:8” sober and vigilant, because your adversary the devil. He walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”
What happened to me was that I used to allow all these outside influences, such as booze, drugs, cigarettes, etc., to govern my actions in other areas of my life, and I lost focus on my Lord and Savior and His Holy Spirit. I needed something to take his place, which I knew was wrong, but the devil knew exactly what Temptations would overcome me.
I deserted God and his word and entered the devil’s playground.
James 4:7  clearly says, “therefore, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you! “How fast I lost my way!
During tribulations, Covid the world-changing values, we must stay focused on God‘s word. I know his word is true!
Another verse reminds me that God is always with us in our weakness.
In Hebrews two verse 18, it reads that he “himself has suffered being tempted, and he can aid those who are tempted.”
Please believe me. Submitting to God, and obeying his word, is the only way to feel the inner peace, Hope, and armor of God we so desire. Shortcut Temptations can only in prison us and lead to a larger fight in the devil’s backyard.
God bless you all!
